Thumbnail Preview Lab

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-10-25

This policy explains what happens to your information when you use Thumbnail Preview Lab at https://thumbnail-preview-lab.pages.dev (the "Site"). The Site is operated by an independent developer ("we", "us").

The short version

1. What stays on your device

When you choose, drop or paste an image, your browser creates a temporary address for it that only works in your open tab. The Site uses it to draw the preview and, if you click download, to draw the comparison PNG. The file is not sent over the network. Closing or reloading the tab discards it.

The title, channel name and duration you type are held in the page's memory only. They are not saved and are not sent anywhere.

The only thing the Site writes to your browser's local storage is your cookie choice ("granted" or "denied", see section 3).

2. Information we collect

WhatHowWhy
Usage data: pages viewed; which preview view you open; that you added an image, downloaded a comparison or clicked a button; the number of images (not the images); approximate location (country or city); device and browser type; referring siteGoogle Analytics 4 cookies and scriptsTo understand which pages and features are used and to improve the Site
Technical data: IP address, browser user agent, time of requestSent automatically by your browser when it loads our pagesTo deliver the Site and keep it secure

Analytics events never include file names, image content, titles, channel names or any text you type.

We don't create accounts. We don't collect payment information: no paid features exist, and the "AI thumbnail score" button is a preview only. If you click it, we record only that the button was clicked, with no email address or other detail.

3. Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics cookies only:

CookieSet byPurposeExpires
_gaGoogle AnalyticsTells visitors apartUp to 2 years
_ga_<ID>Google AnalyticsKeeps session stateUp to 2 years

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, these cookies are off until you click "Accept" in our cookie banner. Before you choose, Google Analytics may still receive basic signals without cookies (for example, that a page was loaded), as part of Google's Consent Mode. Elsewhere they are on by default, and you can click "Reject" to turn them off. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page. If you reject, we stop sending analytics from your browser and delete the Google Analytics cookies we can reach.

We have turned off Google signals and ad personalization in Google Analytics, and we don't link Google Analytics to any advertising account. We don't use advertising cookies or ad pixels.

Wherever you are, you can also block or delete cookies in your browser, or install Google's opt-out add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

Do Not Track: The Site doesn't change its behavior based on "Do Not Track" signals. Because we don't sell or share personal information for targeted advertising, there is nothing of that kind to opt out of.

6. Legal bases (EEA, UK, and Swiss visitors)

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example in the EEA, the UK, California, Washington, or another US state with a privacy law), you may have the right to:

To make a request, email federicoardorussoa50970@gmail.com. We won't treat you differently for using these rights. We never receive your images or text, so there is nothing of that kind for us to return or delete. For analytics data, clearing your cookies breaks the link between you and past usage data.

If you're in the EEA or the UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

8. International transfers

Google and Cloudflare may process technical and analytics data in the United States and other countries. Where required, they rely on legal transfer mechanisms such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

9. Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has used the Site and you want analytics data removed, contact us.

10. Security

The Site is served over HTTPS. Your images are never sent over the network, because they stay on your device. Anyone with access to your device or browser can see what is open in your tab, so close the tab on shared computers.

11. Changes

If we add accounts, saving, payments, or email, we will update this policy before the change takes effect and ask for your consent where required. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the latest version.
